This Privacy Policy explains how AnnieKart (“AnnieKart”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, discloses and protects personal information when you visit or use our website, mobile application, marketplace features, customer support, products and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

AnnieKart may sell its own products and may also facilitate the sale, fulfilment or support of products supplied by third-party sellers, resellers, suppliers, brands, logistics partners or other service providers. This Policy applies to personal information processed in connection with those activities, subject to the specific role of the relevant party.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, waive or restrict any mandatory right, remedy or obligation applicable under Indian law. Where applicable law requires a different standard, that legal requirement will prevail.

1. Information We May Collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

2. Information You Choose to Provide

You may choose not to provide certain information. However, some information is necessary to create an account, process an order, deliver products, process returns or refunds, verify a transaction, provide support, prevent fraud or comply with law. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to provide the relevant Service.

AnnieKart may process personal information on the basis of consent, where consent is required; for specified legitimate or lawful purposes permitted by applicable law; for performing or facilitating a contract or requested service; for complying with legal obligations; and for preventing fraud, protecting security or pursuing other lawful purposes recognised by applicable law.

India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 contain provisions with phased commencement. AnnieKart will apply the requirements that are in force from time to time and update this Policy and its operational practices as additional provisions become applicable.

5. Orders, Payments and Delivery

To complete a transaction, we may share relevant information with payment processors, banks, card networks, UPI/payment service providers, logistics companies, delivery partners, sellers, fulfilment providers and other vendors involved in the order. These parties receive information reasonably required for their role, subject to applicable legal and contractual obligations.

6. Returns, Replacements, Refunds and Evidence

If you request a return, replacement, refund or product-condition investigation, we may process additional information and evidence, including photographs, unboxing videos, package images, shipping labels, product identifiers, serial numbers, barcodes, delivery records, courier scans and communications. Such information may be retained for verification, fraud prevention, dispute handling, customer support and legal purposes.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

AnnieKart may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage and similar technologies to keep the website functioning, remember preferences, maintain sessions, measure traffic, understand usage, improve performance, prevent fraud and, where permitted, support marketing or advertising.

You may be able to control cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect functionality, account access, checkout or other Services.

8. Marketing and Promotional Communications

Where permitted by law, AnnieKart may send promotional communications by email, SMS, telephone, WhatsApp, push notification or other available channels. Service and transactional communications may still be sent when necessary to process or support an order, account, security matter or legal obligation.

You may opt out of promotional communications using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the communication or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not necessarily stop essential transactional or service communications.

9. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We may disclose personal information, where lawful and reasonably necessary, to:

AnnieKart does not intend to sell personal information as a standalone commodity. Information may nevertheless be shared with service providers and business partners as reasonably required to operate the Services, process transactions, provide marketing or analytics, prevent fraud, or comply with law.

10. Third-Party Sellers and Service Providers

Where a product is supplied, fulfilled or supported by a third party, that party may receive information necessary to fulfil the transaction or provide after-sales service. Third parties may have their own privacy notices. Their independent processing may be subject to their own legal obligations and contractual arrangements with AnnieKart.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. Depending on the system and risk, measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption or secure transmission, logging, monitoring, backups and vendor controls.

No internet service, storage system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, AnnieKart cannot guarantee absolute security against every possible security incident.

12. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including order fulfilment, customer support, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal claims, security and compliance. Certain records may be retained for longer where required by law, regulation, contractual requirements or legitimate business or legal needs.

When information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymise, aggregate or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable retention obligations and technical limitations.

13. Data Transfers and Processing Locations

Your information may be processed or stored on systems operated by AnnieKart or its service providers in India or other jurisdictions, where permitted by applicable law. Where law requires safeguards or conditions for cross-border processing, AnnieKart will apply the requirements applicable to the relevant processing.

14. Your Choices and Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, which may include requesting access to information about processing, correction or updating of inaccurate information, withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent, deletion or erasure where legally applicable, and grievance redressal.

Requests may be subject to reasonable verification so that AnnieKart does not disclose or modify information belonging to another person. Certain information may need to be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary for legal, security, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes.

15. Children

The Services are not intentionally directed to children for independent use where such use would be unlawful. Where applicable law imposes additional requirements for processing a child’s personal information, AnnieKart will follow those requirements. We may take reasonable measures to verify age or obtain parental or lawful guardian authorisation where required.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for notifying AnnieKart promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse. AnnieKart may suspend, restrict or secure an account where it reasonably suspects fraud, abuse, security risk or unlawful activity, subject to applicable law.

17. Fraud, Abuse and Security Investigations

To protect AnnieKart and its customers, we may analyse account, device, order, payment, delivery and return information to identify unusual patterns or suspected abuse. This may include product-return history, delivery information, IP/device signals, transaction metadata and evidence submitted for claims. Actions may include additional verification, temporary restrictions, cancellation or investigation where permitted by law.

The Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, payment pages or services. AnnieKart is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of independent third parties. Review the applicable third party’s privacy notice before providing information.

19. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, technology, business arrangements, legal requirements or privacy practices. The updated version will be posted through the Services with a revised “Last Updated” date. 22. Important Business Disclosure

AnnieKart may use third-party technology, logistics, payment, hosting, customer-support, analytics, fraud-prevention and marketing providers. Their processing may be necessary to provide the Services. AnnieKart may change service providers or technical infrastructure from time to time without separately notifying every customer, provided applicable legal requirements are met.

23. Customer Acknowledgement

By using AnnieKart’s Services, creating an account, placing an order or otherwise providing personal information to AnnieKart, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review this Privacy Policy and understand the categories of information and purposes described above. Where consent is legally required for a particular processing activity, AnnieKart will seek consent through an appropriate mechanism rather than relying solely on this acknowledgement.
